Software, Programming Language, Networking
A
programming language is an artificial language designed to communicate
instructions to a machine, particularly a computer. Programming languages can
be used to create programs that control the behavior of a machine and/or to
express algorithms precisely.
We can find to many programming
language :
• Pascal
• C++
• Visual Basic
• Visual Foxpro
• JAVA
Pascal History
Pascal is a programming language that was first created
by Professor Niklaus Wirth, a member of the International Federation of
Information Processing (IFIP) in 1971. By taking the name of the French
mathematician, Blaise Pascal, who first coined the totalizer, Professor Niklaus
Wirth made Pascal language this as a tool to teach the concepts of computer programming
to students. In addition, Professor Niklaus Wirth made Pascal also to
complement the shortcomings of programming languages that existed at that time.
History of C
++
C ++ was created by Bjarne Stroustrup at AT & T Bell
Laboratories early 1980s by C ANSI (American National Standards Institute).
First, prototype C ++ appears as C is enhanced by facilities. The language
called C class (C wih class).
During the years 1983-1984, with a class C enhanced by adding pembebanlebihan facility operators and functions which later gave birth to the so-called C ++. Symbol C ++ is the operator for raising operation, appear to show that this new language is a more advanced version of C.

History of

The earliest programming languages were designed in the
1950s and was made solely to solve complex mathematical problems. These
languages are a bit confusing for the layman. But it was not a problem elated,
because computers are found only in major research institutions. Slow northwest
of course, people are aware that computer technology could be useful not only
to do the math, but can be useful for other fields. Then the computer began to
be items commonly found in the business environment and the university.
Definition
visual foxpro
Visual FoxPro
is a data-centric object-oriented and procedural programming language produced
by Microsoft or a programming language that works in Microsoft Windows. It is
derived from FoxPro (originally known as FoxBASE) developed by Fox Software in
early 1984.
History of
Java
Beginning in 1991 the establishment of a team named green
The team is led by Patrick Naughton and James Gosling (A group of Sun engineers).
Initially they wanted to make a computer language that can be used by cable TV (Cable TV Box) which has a small memory and each company has different types.
To apply these terms they use ever attempted by Pascal language.

Information Network
LAN
A
LAN (Local Area Network) is a system whereby individual PCs are connected
together within a company or
organization.
WAN
A
WAN (Wide Area Network) as the name implies allows you to connect to other
computers over a wider area (i.e. the whole world).
Use network
If
ten people are working together within an office it makes sense for them all to
be connected.
Ø In
this way the office can have a single printer and all ten people can print to
it.
Ø In
a similar way other devices such as modems or scanners can be shared.
Ø Even
more useful is the ability to share information when connected to a network.
Computers in Daily Life
Ø Accounts
Ø Games
Ø Educational
Ø On-line banking
Ø Smart ID cards
Ø Supermarkets
Ø Working from home
(Tele-working)
Ø Internet
Computer Virus
Ø Viruses
are small programs that hide themselves on your
Ø disks
(both flashdisk and your hard disk).
Ø Unless you use virus
Ø detection software the first
Ø time
that you know that you
Ø have
a virus is when it activates.
Ø Different viruses are
Ø activated in different ways.
How do viruses infect PCs?
Ø Viruses
hide on a disk and when you access the disk (either a diskette or another hard
disk over a network) the virus program will start and infect your computer.
Ø The
worst thing about a computer virus is that they can spread from one computer to
another, either via use of infected flashdisk, or over a computer network,
including the Internet.
Software
Copyright
Ø Be
aware on software copyright issues
Ø Freeware
Ø Shareware
Ø What about software that you find on the
Internet?
Ø Software site
licenses
Software
Copyright
Ø If
your computer system holds information about individuals then you
have a moral and legal duty to treat that information with respect.
Ø In
a free society you have a right to ensure that information held about
you is not
abused.
Ø In many countries this right is enshrined
under data protection laws.
